Spartech Launches New Types of Sheets

Spartech has introduced a set of molded sheets specifically designed to enhance the durability of outdoor components such as trucks, RVs, spas, ponds, bathtubs, and buildings. Enviro-Guard is an antibacterial sheet that is supplied in single-layer ABS and co-extruded acrylate/ABS for showers, spas, and bathtubs, which can inhibit bacterial growth over the long term.

SoundX Plus is a coextruded total polyolefin, the heavier substrate is mineral filled and provides acoustical performance, while the surface layer resists moisture penetration. The targets are automotive, truck and RV panels. WeatherPro S is an ABS co-extruded sheet containing an acrylic surface designed to accept metal and high-chroma pigments in place of painted metal and fiberglass composite structural panels for general-purpose facilities, lawns, gardens, and RVs . Solarex SV is made from an unconfirmed TP polyester that is said to provide UV stability. It is an alternative material for architectural coatings. The chemical resistance and impact strength of single-layer sheets exceed that of conventional acrylic sheets. Millennium V is a PC/ABS alloy based sheet with excellent linear expansion and outstanding dimensional stability.
