Bogomar Launches 5 Gallon Bottle Handling Robot

Currently, more and more 5 gallon bottles (18.9 liters) are being used in the Italian beverage market. For this reason, Procomac's Packaging Machinery Division has developed a new technology to optimize the handling and packaging of these containers. .

The decanter robot named Fanuk has six axes and a carrying capacity of 165 kg with two special robots. The robot was designed and manufactured by Bogmar's packaging machinery department.

The first robot, designed to handle two 5-gallon plastic bottles. The structure of the robot is made entirely of stainless steel and is equipped with a flange. The second robot is the most innovative concept. It can remove the bottles on the tray together. In addition, it can handle large sheets of plywood. This reliable, lightweight construction is also made of stainless steel and its arm movements are accurate and safe. It is also equipped with a special rubber suction cup to handle large sheets of plywood.

The two robots are controlled separately. Due to the sensitive movement of the robot, the two hands can be closed and the bottleneck can be grasped together to ensure the safety of handling. This system has a palletizing and unstacking function and guarantees the highest accuracy of repetitive actions.

The Italian headquarters of the San Pagliglino Group once again entrusted the Bogotá Packaging Machinery Department with the provision of a large container robot depalletizing island for its San Bernardo factory. What makes Bogomar proud is that this new technology product line adds a new dimension to the bottle filling market.
